Searching Titles

Using the search function you can enter a word or phrase, combine search concepts with Boolean logic or use the "*" to truncate a term to find all matches with the same root.

The search engine employs several strategies to enhance results. Search results point you to the most relevant titles, chapters, sections and subsections for prompt and precise answers.

To search:

Choose 'Search' from the Main Menu.
Enter a term or phrase into the search box. You can limit the scope of your search to enhance results by using the pull-down lists.
'All Content' will perform a full text search of the content for all titles you have access to. Search Tips
'General Info' will search only the descriptive information for a title.
'Titles, - ISBNs, - Authors, - Publishers' will search only these descriptive information fields.
'Code Listings' will search only text that has been marked as a "Code Listing".
'My Folders' will restrict your full text search to the titles in your personal folders.
'Last Title List' will search the full text of the titles in the most recent title list, which can be a main topic, subtopic or personal folder
'Last Title' will restrict your full text search to the last title accessed.

To search within a title:

Navigate to the title's Table of Contents by selecting the title or choosing 'Title Table of Contents' from the Title Navigation menu.
Enter your keyword terms into the 'Search this title:' box.
Select a relevant chapter to view.
